View to a New Life at Drouin
Several couples have resorted to sleeping in their cars to secure a block of land. Joseph and Bernarda Keating from Point Cook secured the first site in Jackson’s View, Drouin after sleeping overnight in their vehicle.
They weren’t alone, a further seven couples had joined the queue a day before the blocks were up for sale.
“We really wanted to live in that area” Bernarda says. “If you really want something, then you do these things to get it. It wasn’t that bad though.”
