Matthew Moses was appointed General Counsel at Oliver Hume in 2014 and provides high-level legal support to both the Board and wider business on a range of legal, contract and regulatory issues, with a focus on funds management.
He is responsible for leading Oliver Hume’s legal function and providing strategic business advice across a variety of business functions – from commercial and corporate legal requirements through to client negotiations. His expertise across a variety of Oliver Hume’s business operations is pivotal to the company’s success.
Mr Moses is directly involved in the design and management of complex transactions from beginning to end and facilitates negotiations of critical contracts; additionally, Matthew handles the corporate governance and compliance functions and works to ensure the business is educated on the requirements of internal governance systems and implementations.
Bringing more than 20 years of high-level national corporate and funds-based experience to his role at Oliver Hume, his unique position enables him to grasp a company-wide view of processes and projects to facilitate the speed of transactions and to ensure a comprehensive understanding of circumstances and processes.
He graduated from Bond University with a Bachelor of Laws and was admitted in 1996. Prior to joining Oliver Hume Matthew worked in a range of in-house corporate roles, as well as with leading Australian law firm McMahon Clarke.
