Financial Review | Brisbane ‘good value’, as $1.7m from auction goes to animal charity

Property Reporter Lucy Slade has reported that Brisbane remains “good value,” as $1.7 million from a recent auction was donated to an animal charity, in an article published by the Australian Financial Review.

The diminishing prospects of an interest rate cut any time soon have dampened buyers’ spirits and caused the auction clearance rate to slip below 70 per cent as the end of the spring selling season draws closer.

Just shy of 3000 auctions were held across the country last week – an uncommonly high number compared to previous years – but the national rate of homes being sold at auction slipped by 1.2 per cent, data house Cotality’s latest numbers show.
