The Oliver Hume Property Group Queensland team were very proud to join our partners Villawood Properties for the official sod turning at the Baya Redland project on Brisbane’s bayside yesterday.

Queensland General Manager Dan Ross and Head of Marketing (Project Marketing) Nikki Grundy joined Villawood CEO Alan Miller and Queensland General Manager Michael Williams to officially mark the construction phase of the $250 million project.

The event kicked off with a magnificent smoking ceremony from Quandamooka Yoolooburrabee elder Uncle Josh Walker with local Redlands MP Rebecca Young, Assistant Minister to the Deputy Premier and Assistant Minister for Planning also speaking about the importance of Villawood’s investment in the area.

The project will deliver 224 quality and sorely needed new homes, creating more than 700 EFT jobs, in a premium-value lifestyle community overlooking beautiful Moreton Bay.

Villawood has extended its popular Care Worker program to the project with emergency staff, nurses, teachers and other care workers will receive special $20,000 packages to help them enter the market.
