ReGen Living's Waurn Ponds Land Lease Community Off to a Strong Start
Oliver Hume's land lease venture ReGen Living has been featured in The Weekly SOURCE, in an article by journalist Ian Horswill. The piece reports that ReGen Living has sold more than half of the 20 homes in Stage 1 of its Waurn Ponds community, just over a year after Oliver Hume announced its entry into the land lease sector.
Waurn Ponds: A Premium Over-55s Community Near Geelong
Located in Waurn Ponds, a southern suburb of Geelong, the 195-home community is surrounded by more than three hectares of public parklands and will offer two, two-and-a-half and three-bedroom homes with single or double garages. The development will feature a $10 million clubhouse with an indoor and outdoor pool, gymnasium, private cinema, steam rooms, wine bar, billiards parlour, co-working space and private dining room, alongside a dedicated sports precinct with tennis and pickleball courts, a golf simulator and a sports bar pavilion, plus a health and wellness space and edible garden and greenhouse hub.
Strong Early Demand and Growth Plans
ReGen Living General Manager Ashley Duster said the community has attracted a broad mix of ages and backgrounds among the 13 buyers secured so far, with homes starting in the $600,000s and drawing interest from both local residents and buyers from further afield, including downsizers from larger acreages. Victoria's largest home builder, Sheridan Homes, has begun construction on the first four homes, with residents expected to move in this October. ReGen Living is also progressing a second land lease community at Aldinga on South Australia's Fleurieu Peninsula, which will deliver 191 over-55s homes as part of a broader 800-home precinct led by Villawood Properties and Renewal SA.
